The 2nd International Congress on the Role of Supportive Services in Multidisciplinary Treatment of Childhood Cancer

The first day of the 2nd International Congress on ‘the Role of Supportive Bio-psycho-Socio-Spiritual Services in Multidisciplinary Treatment of Childhood Cancer’ was commenced on November 22, 2017 at MAHAK- the Society to Support Children Suffering from Cancer.
This congress was held in three specialized panels entitled:
– MAHAK’s Approach towards Support Services Provision Relying on Civil Society Capacity
– The Role of Support Services in Cancer Diagnosis
– The Role of Support Services during the Treatment
It continued with different speeches regarding the abovementioned panels with the presence of Ali Akbar Haghdoost, Deputy of Strategic Planning and Coordination of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education; Prof. Eric Bouffet, Head of International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP); Dr. Shiva Dowlat Abadi, Chairwoman of the Board of Iranian Psychology Association, Charles Mbugua, the representative of International Federation of Social Workers in United Nations; and different experts of psychology and social work.
