A Puppet Show at MAHAK Inspired by Persian Carpet Design

A group of volunteers from the National Museum of Carpet performed a different puppet show based on Iranian carpet designs for MAHAK children.

This show was accompanied by the performance of children’s music during which the children and their families enjoyed the story of Termeh, a girl who wanted to weave a carpet with the help and guidance of her grandmother, and they had a happy time together. The children learned the different steps of weaving a carpet throughout this show including the preparation of thread from sheep wool, dyeing them in a vat and finally weaving. At the end of the show, they received some gifts which had different carpet designs and the characters of this puppet show on.
