Conference on the Latest Rhabdomyosarcoma Treatment Methods in MAHAK

A one-day conference on the latest Rhabdomyosarcoma treatment methods was held in MAHAK on Thursday October 31th, 2013 in cooperation with Iranian Association of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology which offered the attendees certified retraining accreditation.

The main subject foci of this conference were the epidemiology of Rhabdomyosarcoma in Iran, Pediatric Rhabdomyosarcoma, radiotherapy in Rhabdomyosarcoma, latest methods in diagnosis of Rhabdomyosarcoma, stem cell transplantation In Rhabdomyosarcoma, and latest treatment tips in Rhabdomiosarcoma and the methods of dealing with patients suspicious of Rhabdomyosarcoma degeneration.

Professor Odile Oberlin, a specialist graduate from University of Paris, delivered a speech on the challenges of Rhabdomyosarcoma treatment in newly diagnosed cancer-stricken patients.

Among the significant career achievements of Prof. Oberlin, being co-chairperson of the Euro-Ewing consortium, co-chairperson of the European paediatric group for soft-tissue sarcomas (EpSSG), member of the Pediatric and Adolescent Solid Tumor Steering Committee for NCI, member of the ASCO scientific committee, and associate member of COG can be cited.
