Inauguration of MAHAK Ophthalmology Clinic

The Ophthalmology Clinic was inaugurated in MAHAK hospital on Friday, July 26, 2013.  The opening ceremony was held with participation of members of MAHAK board of trustees and board of directors as well as prominent members of Iranian Society of Ophthalmology and Association of Ocular Injuries (Ashk) that supported equipping the clinic.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Mardawig Alebouyeh, a prominent oncologist and member of MAHAK board of trustees, welcomed attendants and declared his satisfaction with this establishment and inauguration of various specialized clinics such as pain and palliative care, psychology, neurosurgery, dermatology in MAHAK hospital.  He expressed his satisfaction with the survival rate  cancer stricken children under MAHAK coverage, that it is pretty much on par with the best international standards and hoped health for all children under treatment in MAHAK.
Afterwards, Dr. Masoud Naseripour, representative of the Iranian Society of Ophthalmology and a retina subspecialist, expressed his satisfaction with optimal and developing status of treatment of retinoblastoma patients in Iran in the same pace with the world’s top medical centers.
Also, Dr. Azim Mehrvar, director of MAHAK hospital, honoring the memory of the late Professor Parvaneh Vossough, recalled her wish for establishment of this ward and celebrated the realization of Ophthalmology Clinic in MAHAK hospital.
Professor Hormoz Shams, Sub-specialist in Retina and member of the board of Iranian Society of Ophthalmology, officially inaugurated the MAHAK Ophthalmology Clinic.  Referring to his 30-year cooperation with Professor Parvaneh Vossough, he expressed his happiness for realization of her dream through establishment of this clinic.
Dr. Naseripour described optometry and clinical operations and introduced Dr. Farsi as the primary physician of MAHAK Ophthalmology Clinic to attendants.
MAHAK is committed to providing children suffering from cancer with the most effective advanced facilities and equipment as well as the most up-to-date therapeutic methods and is grateful to all benevolent members and philanthropists who steadfastly help MAHAK in the pursuit of this mission.
