The most important aim of the World Cancer Day campaign is to help the early diagnosis of childhood cancer. The earlier this disease gets diagnosed, the higher will be the survival chance. Brain tumor is one of the common childhood cancers. Do refer to a physician when you notice one of these symptoms in a child around you: vision, hearing or speech problems; headaches especially early in the morning; loss of balance or trouble walking; weakness, tingling or changes of feeling on one side of the body; and changes in personality or behavior. Keep in mind that these symptoms do not necessarily mean that a child has cancer; however, refer to a doctor as soon as you notice any of them. Early diagnosis is the key to early treatment for this disease.
