About Us

MAHAK – the Society to Support Children Suffering from Cancer – is a charity organization established in 1991. Since its founding, it has operated as an independent NGO funded exclusively by benevolent individuals who are committed to improving the lives of children with cancer and supporting their families.

Today, MAHAK operates with more than 800 dedicated staff members and hundreds of volunteers across Iran. The organization provides comprehensive services including full medical treatment, research and extensive psycho-social support to every family whose child has cancer and requires financial or medical assistance.

By the end of March 2025, MAHAK had provided these inclusive services to more than 45,000 children, with nearly 16,000 active cases currently receiving treatment and psycho-social support in public hospitals throughout the country that have pediatric oncology wards.
