A two-day seminar on partnership strategies was hosted by the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) this year. MAHAK, as an Iranian non-governmental organization, also participated in this program. This seminar took place on October 23rd and 24th in Tehran. In this program, the Norwegian Refugee Council hosted a gathering of Iranian non-governmental organizations and officials from Iran at the provincial level.
MAHAK social workers participated at the two-day seminar on partnership strategies which was held by the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) on October 23 and 24, 2023 in Tehran. This program was organized with the aim of gathering Iranian community-based organizations like MAHAK and delegates from National Organization for Immigration Affairs.
The main objective of this event was to create a suitable case oriented platform for NGOs and migration organizations to directly communicate, discuss, and exchange ideas regarding the lessons learned and challenges faced in providing services to their target refugee communities. In this seminar, organizations had the opportunity of introducing their services. In this vein, representatives from MAHAK’s support services department introduced its services to refugee children suffering from cancer and provided some information about its achievements, capacities, and priorities as a non-governmental organization.
For over three decades, MAHAK Charity steadfastly provides medical and support services to children with cancer in Iran, with the assistance of Iranian philanthropists. MAHAK Charity believes that collaboration is the key to success, relying on its organizational knowledge and focus on developing relationships with the global community. MAHAK participated in this program with the approach of developing relationships with national and international non-governmental institutions and sharing experiences, aiming to witness the journey of healing little heroes regardless of their nationality or ethnicity.
