A workshop on effective communication with pediatric cancer patients

MAHAK psychologists and social workers held a workshop entitled “Effective Communication with Children and Adolescents suffering from cancer” on August 9, 2023. This On-the-job training was held as a joint initiative with some hospitals in Tehran such as Farabi, Bahrami, Ali Asghar and MAHAK Hospital for their staff as the main target audience.

As one of its focused goals, MAHAK strives to share its organizational knowledge resulted from the experiences in psychology and social work. For over three decades, MAHAK has been facilitating cancer treatment for children by offering support services for them and their families. Given that, psycho-social experts shared their experiences and knowledge regarding effective communication with cancer-stricken children and their sensitivities during treatment process with other hospital staff to enhance their competencies and skills.
