Manager of MAHAK International Communications Department -Elaborates on Professor Vossough’s Legacy

Dr. Hadieh Eslampanah, manager of the International Communications Department, spoke a few words at “The Biennial International Pediatric Oncology Congress in memory of Professor Vossough” held on 15-17 May, 2024 at MAHAK, Tehran.

Dr. Eslampanah said: “as you know this congress is dedicated to Prof. Parvaneh Vossoug, who is known as the mother of Iran oncology. Prof. Vossough dedicated her life to children with cancer; her legacy stays with MAHAK family forever and keep us motivated and determined to continue her pathway.”

Manager of the International Communications Department stated that MAHAK Charity provides high efficient and up-to-date diagnosis and treatment protocols for pediatric oncology with supportive services for children and their families. More than three decades, a plenty number of children enduring cancer have been treated in MAHAK. This success would have not been possible without the great collaboration of MAHAK members and all of our philanthropists’ support.

According to Dr. Eslampanah, MAHAK Hospital- Pediatric Cancer Treatment and Research Center (MPCTRC) has been well facilitated with the best instruments, laboratories, biological bank and curing strategists. Being the comprehensive pediatric cancer research center in IRAN, which was registered by Iran Ministry of Health and Medical Education in 2018, has made MAHAK be noticeable scientific hub of pediatric oncology treatment in the region.

For more than 30 years, MAHAK has always strived to be a part of a worldwide movement to increase the survival rate of children with cancer. In line with this commitment, the “Biennial International Pediatric Oncology Congress,” provides a great opportunity platform for healthcare professionals, clinicians, and experts to share their insights and experiences on different aspects of childhood cancers.

She also highlighted that at this congress, the participants benefit from the groundbreaking research and noble medicine-based findings of international specialists from worldwide hospitals and centers like SickKids Hospital and Agha Khan University-Hospital.

Dr. Eslampanah extended heartfelt appreciation to the distinguished guests and all individuals contributing to the successful execution of the congress. She finished her speech by hoping that the Congress would lead to remarkable outcomes for everyone.
