MAHAK Charity Institute Leads Pediatric Cancer Care Using Multidisciplinary Approaches

During the opening ceremony of the “Biennial International Congress of Pediatric Oncology in Memory of Professor Vossough”, CEO of MAHAK charity institute, Dr. Arasb Ahmadian, underlined the significance of utilizing multidisciplinary approaches in treating pediatric brain tumors.

The congress was held in collaboration with MAHAK research center and various scientific associations. The congress focused on upgrading therapeutic strategies for common pediatric brain tumors through a great teamwork and partnership among our local and international specialists.

Dr. Ahmadian presented a report on thirty-three years of MAHAK activities emphasizing on MAHAK mission, which is aligned with prestigious institutions like Dana-Farber and MD Anderson. Embracing digitalization as a key strategy in its five-year development plan, MAHAK charity institute allocates the significant financial sources towards advanced medical, research, and executive enterprises.

Reaching out to 42 hospitals across Iran, MAHAK specialized hospital has maintained records of pediatric oncology information. Up to now, MAHAK has endorsed over 40,000 cancer-stricken children and their families that has successfully treated 16,000 of them. Dr. Ahmadian also mentioned that hosting such a congresses, facilitates experience and knowledge sharing among national and international experts.
