On World Environment Day, MAHAK joins the global community in recognizing the urgent need to protect our environment—for the health of our planet and the well-being of generations to come. A clean, safe environment is essential not only for public health, but especially for children facing serious illnesses like cancer.

Environmental factors play a significant role in health outcomes, and creating a toxin-free, sustainable world is part of ensuring a better future for all children. At MAHAK, we are committed to eco-friendly practices throughout our hospital and support center—from reducing waste and conserving energy to maintaining green spaces that support healing and comfort.

One such space is the Parents’ Garden, a peaceful, enclosed garden beside MAHAK Hospital. It offers children and their families a place to rest, breathe fresh air, and momentarily step away from the stresses of treatment. This garden symbolizes our belief that healing is nurtured not only through medicine, but also through nature, compassion, and moments of calm.

This day reminds us that caring for the environment and caring for one another go hand in hand. By taking small, meaningful steps—reducing pollution, conserving resources, and supporting sustainable practices—we each help build a healthier, more hopeful world.

MAHAK reaffirms its mission to protect the lives and futures of children with cancer—and that includes advocating for an environment where every child can grow, heal, and thrive in safety.
