The recent war has created a challenging and upsetting situation for every sector of Iranian society. At MAHAK, the challenges we face go beyond logistics, safety, and uncertainty. For us, it is about ensuring that we do not let go of the hands of the children and families who rely on our care and support — especially in times of greatest need. These young patients, already battling life-threatening illnesses, are among the most vulnerable in our society.

No child — indeed, no human being — should have to suffer the atrocities of war, let alone our young patients who are already fighting cancer.

Our steadfast commitment is to continue providing vital support: medical care, psychosocial and emotional services, and qualified health care — ensuring that these children are not left behind or made to suffer further due to circumstances beyond their control in these most pressing times.

MAHAK continues to provide compassionate, comprehensive, and life-saving support to children with cancer and their families across Iran. Today, more than 13,000 children are undergoing active treatment with our assistance. Including those receiving long-term after-treatment care, MAHAK is currently supporting 30,000 children — each one depending on our services every single day.

These numbers are more than statistics — they represent the trust of families across the nation and the unwavering solidarity of our supporters.

Even in the face of war, economic hardship, and logistical barriers, MAHAK remains fully operational and resolute in its efforts.
