World Humanitarian Day is observed every year on 19 August to honor humanitarian workers and to remember those who have lost their lives while serving others. It is also a moment to recognize the strength and resilience of the communities who endure crises, yet continue to move forward with courage and hope.
The theme for 2025, “Strengthening Global Solidarity and Empowering Local Communities”, highlights the urgent need to ensure that humanitarian action goes beyond emergency relief and builds the capacity of people to shape their own futures. Real and lasting change happens when communities are empowered, not only supported.
At MAHAK, this belief is central to our mission. Supporting children with cancer and their families requires more than treatment—it requires solidarity, compassion and the creation of strong support systems that accompany them through every step of their journey. By working hand in hand with families, caregivers, volunteers and international partners; MAHAK continues to ensure that no child walks the path of cancer alone.
On this World Humanitarian Day, we pay tribute to all those who dedicate their lives to humanity and recommit ourselves to the values of empathy, dignity and shared responsibility.
