The world will unite from September 18 to 25, 2025 to observe the Global Week for Action on NCDs (noncommunicable diseases)—a campaign to raise awareness and demand urgent global action on NCDs and mental health. These conditions, including cancer, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, diabetes and mental health disorders, are the world’s leading causes of death and place a heavy burden on patients, families and societies.
This year’s theme, “It’s TIME TO LEAD,” emphasizes turning promises into progress. The campaign calls for strong leadership, equitable access to healthcare and greater investment in prevention and care, while holding governments accountable in the lead-up to the UN General Assembly High-Level Meeting on NCDs (HLM4) in September 2025.
At MAHAK, we see the reality of NCDs every day. Childhood cancer not only requires advanced medical treatment but also emotional, social and financial support for families. Leadership for us means delivering comprehensive services—from state-of-the-art therapies to psychological and welfare support—so that no child is left behind because of economic or social barriers.
The Global Week for Action on NCDs 2025 aims to ensure the NCD agenda is prioritized at the global stage, reinforcing the urgency of investment and leadership. At MAHAK, we stand with this global movement and remain committed to empowering children with cancer to survive and thrive.
