Each year, the second Saturday of October marks World Hospice & Palliative Care Day, a global day of action to raise awareness and understanding of the importance of palliative care as an essential part of healthcare.

On 11 October 2025, under the theme “Achieving the Promise: Universal Access to Palliative Care,” the Worldwide Hospice Palliative Care Alliance (WHPCA) calls on governments, organizations and communities to ensure that everyone, everywhere, has access to the care and compassion they deserve when facing serious illness.

At MAHAK, we recognize that palliative care is not only about managing symptoms but also about preserving dignity, relieving emotional distress and supporting families through the most difficult times. Our multidisciplinary team works to integrate palliative care into every stage of treatment, ensuring that each child and their loved ones receive comprehensive support — physical, emotional and psychological.

On this day, MAHAK joins the global call to make palliative care accessible to all who need it. Together, we can achieve the promise of care that truly leaves no one behind.
