November 2025 – Doha

MAHAK Charity Institute, an organization with General Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), proudly participated in the Second World Summit for Social Development, held at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) from November 4 to 6, 2025, in Doha. The summit brought together more than 8,000 participants, including international leaders, policymakers, and civil society representatives, to explore pathways for advancing social and sustainable development globally.

MAHAK was represented by Dr. Hadieh Eslampanah, Director of the International Development and Communications Department, who contributed to expert discussions and solution-focused panels on the role of digital transformation and artificial intelligence in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). MAHAK’s representative discussed both the opportunities these technologies offer for scalable impact and the challenges associated with their implementation at the community level.

Drawing on MAHAK’s more than three decades of experience supporting children with cancer and their families across the region, Dr. Eslampanah emphasized the organization’s belief that “Justice in Health is Social Justice.” She highlighted how MAHAK’s integrated model—providing free, high-quality treatment alongside comprehensive social and economic support—helps prevent poverty and social isolation, fostering resilience and dignity among vulnerable families.

MAHAK’s representative also pointed to the growing potential of emerging MedTech and BioTech ecosystems to strengthen health and social systems in low- and middle-income countries. She underscored the importance of coordinated efforts among governments, the private sector, and nonprofit organizations to build sustainable, innovative, and equitable solutions.

The summit concluded with a shared message from global participants:
Social and sustainable development begins with people—ensuring equitable access to opportunities, social protection, and healthcare for all.

As an active civil society organization with ECOSOC General Consultative Status, MAHAK remains committed to contributing to international dialogue and advancing compassionate, equitable care for every child with cancer and their family.
