Esteghlal Football Club visits MAHAK children

Members of the famous Iranian football club, Esteghlal, visited MAHAK children.Winfried Schäfer, the manager of the team along with Amir Hossein Fathi the chairman of the club and a number of Esteghlal F.C’s players including Mehdi Rahmati, Khosro Heydari, Ali Karimi, Farshid Bagheri, Dariush Shojaeian, Farshid Esmaeili visited cancer-stricken children at MAHAK Hospital and created a happy time for them.

Children and teenagers who were hospitalized or were staying in the residential center of MAHAK, were thrilled by seeing the famous football players in the hospital and took photos with them and talked to them about their experiences about watching football. Our little heroes who were the fans of this team were excited by seeing their favorite football players. One of Esteghlal fans appreciated Mehdi Rahmati for being the most experienced Iranian goalkeeper of the era and chatted with Khosro Heydari about his great crosses.

In this meeting, to appreciate the great deed of the team, the founder, the CEO and members of the boards of trustees and directors of MAHAK gifted a painting by MAHAK children to Esteghlal F.C. In addition this team gifted a T-shirt signed by the players to MAHAK. In the end Schäfer asserted that supporting cancer-stricken children is a difficult task and thanked all the people who work to support these children. Amir Hossein Fathi, regarding the social responsibility of the athletes stated: “It is great that all of us as members of the society support charities like MAHAK and show that we never leave them alone by such actions.”

We appreciate all our supporters and benefactors who give the smile of happiness and hope for recovery to cancer-stricken children during the long and hard process of treatment. We believe that under the roof of MAHAK love and kindness is the most important pillar and we hope that as a result of the constant contribution of benefactors more children will bid farewell to cancer.
