September 8, 2026 marks the 60th anniversary of International Literacy Day. Established by UNESCO in 1966, this year’s theme, “Literacy for people, the planet, and prosperity,” underscores that education is a fundamental human right and a critical foundation for a sustainable, just society.

At MAHAK, we translate this global mission into daily practice. We are proud of our dedicated team of volunteer teachers who provide instruction to hospitalized children unable to attend regular school. By bringing the classroom to them, we ensure no child is left behind their same-age friends—a core component of MAHAK’s commitment to supporting both the medical and educational well-being of our young patients.
