Seven members of MAHAK Hospital’s nursing team participated in the 24th National Pediatric Nursing Congress, held from September 17 to 20, 2026, at the Iran International Conference Center in Tehran. The congress included 15 scientific panels with contributions from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, and Iran University of Medical Sciences.
Held alongside the 38th International Congress of Pediatrics, the event is one of Iran’s major scientific gatherings in the field of child and adolescent health, bringing together specialists, nurses, researchers, and other healthcare professionals to exchange knowledge and review recent developments in pediatric care.
The nursing congress covered a wide range of specialized topics, including innovative pediatric treatments, kangaroo mother care, safe transport of children with cardiac conditions, non-technical skills in pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation, pediatric nursing in crises and disasters, emergency pediatrics, evidence-based wound management, organ and tissue transplantation, neonatal resuscitation, pediatric urology, cystic fibrosis, immunodeficiency disorders, and vascular access in newborns.
MAHAK’s participation in the congress focused on strengthening the professional knowledge and practical skills of its nursing team. Following the event, the scientific and practical achievements gained by the seven participating nurses were shared with other members of MAHAK Hospital staff through a cascade-learning approach, extending the benefit of the congress beyond the participants themselves.
Participation in such scientific events supports MAHAK Hospital’s ongoing efforts to promote continuous professional development and to apply up-to-date knowledge and evidence-based practices in the care of children with cancer.
